Pai-Chia Ch’uan (Pai Family Boxing)
The Pai Family System places great emphasis on Chinese traditions and values, as well as martial technique. Its root is said to come from Dr. Daniel Kane Pai’s grandfather, Pai Po-Fong, who is said to have taught a version of Dragon boxing. The current system is an amalgamation of Dr. Pai’s knowledge, primarily of Chinese and Okinawan arts, and the emphasis of training is on close to middle range techniques.
Entering and Dominating Rotation:
Sifu Luciano will derive his techniques from Pai Family kung fu, and will focus on teaching participants to create a bridge between themselves and the opponent, attaching with sticky energy through sinking force, and off balancing the opponent through seizing the opponent’s space.
1 Hour: Dynamic Stances vs. Static Stances
Most people use stancework for training purposes, such as cultivating leg strength, but in this seminar Sifu Luciano will focus on the martial application of stances. This will include how to translate traditional stances into combative application through the use of a moving root and using the moment of transition between stances to apply techniques.
