Saturday 3-Hour Intensive
Real-life violent confrontations do not occur at typical sparring range, they happen in extremely close quarters, they occur without consent, rules, distance, rituals such as touching gloves and stepping back, or tapping out. We as martial artists must begin to train ourselves and our students to deal with the reality of violence by strategically and scientifically analyzing HOW WE GOT INTO combative situations in the first place. That’s the big paradigm shift.
This three hour intensive is going to empower you with tools, tactics, techniques and strategies, and most importantly the mind-set needed to survive the reality of a violent street confrontation by giving you a view into the "fight before the fight you have been training for". We will by looking scientifically into HOW the most common street attacks occur by studying the anatomy of pre-assault or attack indicators which inevitably lead up to a violent assault or attack. You will leave this intensive not only with a myriad of physical tools but also the psychological and emotional preparedness for intercepting, evading, re-directing, negating or otherwise interrupting the intention of an attack.
I am confident that you will leave this course with a deeper and greater understanding and appreciation of the reality of violent confrontations and with a greater inner confidence that you have enhanced your safety and the safety of your loved ones in the event of an act of violence.
