The karambit is a southeast asian curved blade found in most Indonesian, Malaysian and Filipino martial arts. This workshop will focus on the attributes of this curved weapon that is the essence of nature's animal claws from traditional fixed karambits to the modern interpretation of tactical folding karambits. The attributes of puncturing, lacerating, controlling and impacting techniques that compliment the emptyhand skills of the arts will be presented. Thirty-five karambit trainers will be available, or please feel free to bring your own karambit trainer.
