"Form & Intention boxing" is one of the more aggressive of the internal martial arts. It is known for its linear movements, and explosive power. Rooted in the ancient Daoist idea of the five elements (earth, fire, water, metal, and wood) Xing-Yi Quan features five distinct methods of fighting (splitting, pounding, drilling, crossing, and crushing). This workshop will introduce the history and philosophy of this style, introduce traditional Xing-Yi stance training, and then introduce each of the five element techniques with practical applications.
