Drunken Immortal
Allen Wong has been a student of the Chinese arts (primarily Northern Shaolin)
for 20 years. The styles which he studies include Shaolin Boxing, Long Fists,
Cross Battle Fists, Eagle Claw, Praying Mantis, Black Tiger Fists, Choy Lay Fut,
Tiger Claw, and is better known for his execution of the Drunken Fists. He has
studied (not as extensively) Karate (Seido and Shotokan), and has trained with
the International Tae Kwon Do Federation. Allen has had the privilege and honor
to meet and train with grandmasters Chan Pui, Dennis Brown, and the late
Grandmaster Lee Kwoon Hung. A graduate student at the University at Albany,
Allen has also had the privilege of meeting local masters and mentors here in the
Northeast and looks forward to learning from them on every given opportunity.
Since 2000, Allen has competed at different U.S. national championships such as
the Diamond Nationals and the U.S. Capitol Classics in the divisions of sparring,
traditional forms, and traditional weapons and has been fortunate and blessed to
have placed in the top three annually.
